White paint is a versatile and timeless choice for architectural exteriors and interiors because it has several qualities that allow it to work well with any architectural style including a transitional home.

White is a neutral color that serves as a blank canvas. It complements and enhances the architectural features and design elements without overpowering them. This neutrality allows the architectural details to shine.

This white paint color reflects light, making spaces feel brighter and more spacious. This quality is especially valuable in architecture because it can enhance the appearance of natural light and make rooms or exteriors feel open and inviting.

I used 50% more pigment in some rooms and 25% more in others. The bigger the room the more pigment. In a darker room (with less natural light) you may consider less pigment so that paint color is lighter. For a lighter color of Revere Pewter, the paint store will add less pigment into the can of paint.

12. Benjamin Moore Sea salt-CSP-95

This is a great versatile paint color I found – Benjamin Moore Sea Salt. If you’re looking for a pale gray color with cool undertones, this could be the one! Don’t get this color mixed up with Sherwin Williams Sea Salt- two different colors.

Inviting Warm Undertones

Benjamin Moore’s Sea Salt embodies a light gray hue with inviting warm undertones reminiscent of a serene, sun-kissed beach. It serves as an ideal neutral shade, perfectly suited for encompassing the walls of contemporary open-plan homes.

Sea Salt, slightly deeper than pure white, infuses expansive areas with an abundance of natural light, creating an ethereal and spacious ambiance.

Within the realm of gray tones, Sea Salt stands out as a warmer alternative to the classic, cool-toned grays. It boasts undertones of earthy brown and subtle beige, infusing it with a multifaceted charm that allows it to adapt to changing lighting conditions and the time of day.

Depending on the room’s illumination, the warm undertones may either become more pronounced or recede. In sunlit south-facing rooms or well-lit spaces, Sea Salt paint radiates a cozier, beige-infused warmth.

Conversely, in areas with north-facing windows or under overcast skies, the gray-blue undertones become more prominent, lending a slightly deeper appearance to the wall paint.

With a light reflectance value (LRV) of 62.93, Sea Salt holds a position darker than pure white while remaining firmly within the realm of light and neutral paint colors. Its dependable greige undertones imbue spaces with a consistent touch of warmth.
