Ginny Pietila, Founder and Owner of MI Athletic Club is a nationally certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor, USAT triathlon coach and Ironman athlete. Ginny brings over 26 years of experience to the MI Athletic Club. Leveraging both professional and personal skills, Ginny inspires and motivates people of all fitness levels and ages to reach their fitness goals. Ginny hand-picked the MI Athletic Club team, which is comprised of expert personal trainers, fitness instructors, massage therapists and wellness professionals who share her vision for creating a comprehensive fitness experience that enriches mind, body and soul. Prior to opening the MI Athletic Club, Ginny was the co-owner of Club Emerald on Mercer Island, where she executed over 100,000 personal training sessions, 6,000 fitness classes and founded the Club Emerald Triathlon Team and Club Emerald Team Training Endurance Camp in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho, and Whistler, British Columbia. Ginny is also the proud founder of girlSTRONG girls’ training system which she created to 2014. In her personal time, Ginny competes in road races, triathlons of all distances and gran fondo bike rides. Ginny enjoys speaking at health and wellness events in her Mercer Island community and enjoys spending time at home with her sixteen year old daughter and husband. Education/Certifications include: B.S. in Exercise Science, Oregon State University; USAT Certified Triathlon Coach; ACE Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor; Heart Zones Training Certified Instructor; Yoga Fit Certified Instructor; Certified Swim Instructor.
