I made the marinade for two pieces salmon (about 6 oz each) and put the marinade and salmon in a glass 8×8 dish and baked at 400 for 15 minutes, then broiled for a couple minutes. Very good on the grill, highly recommend!

- Instructions
- Prepare the Salmon
- Pat the salmon dry with paper towels.
- Brush with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
- Make the Bourbon Glaze
- In a small saucepan, combine:
- Bourbon
- Maple syrup
- Soy sauce
- Dijon mustard
- Brown sugar
- Lemon juice
- Garlic
- Worcestershire sauce
- Thyme
- Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
- Remove from the heat and whisk in the butter.
- Cook the Salmon
- Grill Method
- Heat the grill to medium-high.
- Cook the salmon skin-side down for 5–6 minutes.
- Flip carefully and brush generously with the bourbon glaze.
- Cook another 3–5 minutes, brushing with additional glaze until the salmon flakes easily.
- Oven Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Place salmon on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, brushing with glaze halfway through.
- For a lightly caramelized finish, broil for 1–2 minutes.
- Serve
- Drizzle with extra warm bourbon glaze and garnish with parsley, green onions, and lemon wedges.
