To make Wendy's Graham Cracker Toffee all you do is grab a baking sheet and line it with graham crackers. Next, you boil the butter with sugar and salt and fold in the vanilla. Pour over the graham crackers. Bake and you are done. As easy as that!
Just like that the easiest and most delicious dessert is ready! Consider adding nuts to the top- highly recommend! Before you serve, pop it in the oven for an hour so it is more brittle.
Ingredients
- 14-16 graham cracker sheets
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (or dark or milk)
- optional: 1/2-1 cup chopped pecans (toasted if desired) or toffee bits
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Line a large baking sheet with foil and spray with cooking spray. Cover the entire baking pan with whole graham cracker sheets.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, bring the brown sugar, butter, and salt to a boil. Boil for 3-4 minutes stirring constantly. Slowly stir in the vanilla extract. Pour mixture evenly over the graham cracker sheet and bake for 8 minutes.
- Remove pan and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over the graham crackers and let sit for a couple of minutes until it gets melty. Spread chocolate evenly over graham crackers. If using, sprinkle nuts or toffee bits on top.
- Let sit for 2 hours to cool or chill in the fridge or freezer to speed up the process. Cut or break into pieces. Enjoy! It's so addicting!
