Celery Juice- 6 reasons to drink the super food
I always have my ear to the ground when it comes to health and wellness. I am not one to hop on any health trends but I consider myself to be open-minded.
When I kept reading and hearing all about drinking celery juice, I did my due diligence before tried the new health craze. So what’s all the buzz about? Celery juice has been called the “miracle super food” but why?
Here Is The Scoop On Celery Juice:
One of my friends suggested that I listen to the Medical Medium podcast with Anthony Williams. Williams has a very loyal following, because he conducts medical studies outside the conventional science of medicine. After listening it was obvious the Anthony knows his stuff, He’s well known for his New York Times–best-selling books, a Liver Rescue and The Medical Medium- Celery Juice, the powerful medicine of our time.
Anthony Williams started sharing the health benefits of drinking straight celery juice on an empty stomach when he was a child in 1975. After his own personal experience drinking the herbal medicine (yup, celery seed is actually a herb) Williams has helped hundred of thousands of people who had various health issues.

Celery contains compounds called coumarins, which are known to enhance the activity of white blood cells and support the vascular system. It purifies the bloodstream, aids in digestion, relaxes the nerves, reduces blood pressure, and clears up skin issues. Who knew that celery was so healing? This so called miracle juice is shocking people everywhere.
I never gave celery much thought but did you know that celery is rich in vitamin A, magnesium, and iron, which all contribute to nourish the blood? Celery juice is also rich in organic sodium content, meaning it can dislodge calcium deposits from the joints and hold them in solution until they can be eliminated safely from the kidneys.
Research supports that Celery juice may also slow down the growth of cancer cells. Yes, cancer cells people!!! It may be a stretch to say preventing cancer numbers among the long list of celery juice benefits, but research suggests the antioxidants and flavonoids in this vegetable may have anti-cancer properties.
Another study found that apigenin (found in celery) may cause breast cancer cells to weaken. When this happens it makes them vulnerable to attack and destruction by anti-cancer cells in the body.
I don’t know about you but this information alone motivated me to jump on the bandwagon and give celery juice a try.
I have been drinking celery juice now for 6 months and I can honestly say i feel better. My good friend Jamee, tells me that drinking celery juice has helped her with her digestion and tummy issues, With that said, I will to continue to juice as much as I can.
Be aware though that It takes lots of effort to keep the fridge stocked with celery because you need at least 10-12 stocks to make at least 10-15 ounces.
Celery Juice Tips:
- The daily recommendation is to drink 16 ounces a day. If you cant get much, get what you can. Don’t beat yourself up and give-up if juicing every single day is too much.
- If you suffer from chronic illness, suffer from a chronic illness or consider drinking twenty-four to thirty-two ounces of straight celery juice per day.
- Use organic celery if possible. If not, make sure you wash it well.
- Drink celery juice on an empty stomach preferably first thing in the morning.
- Drink it solo and add none other fruits or vegetables to the celery juice.
- It tastes great! Its fresh and goes down easy.
