My Review of the New at-home NIRA Pro Laser Device

If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably seen the NIRA Pro Laser pop up all over your TikTok feed—and maybe you’ve wondered, “Does it really work?” Well, after a full month of regular use, I’m ready to share my review of the new at-home NIRA Pro Precision Laser Device. Learn about the clinical-grade wrinkle reduction, comfort and how the laser works. The best part is you use this laser device at home!

Listen, I’m all about doing what I can to slow down the aging process. I’m not against aging — not at all. I just believe in doing what I can to look and feel my best at any age. That mindset is something that evolved over time.

In my younger years, I wasn’t as mindful. I spent plenty of days sunbathing without sunscreen, and now, my skin carries the signs of those choices. But just like I challenge my body with workouts to stay strong, I now believe in challenging my skin, too — giving it the tools and treatments it needs to renew, repair, and thrive as the years go by.

Aging is a gift — but feeling confident in your skin while you do it? That’s the goal.

With that said, I was open to trying the brand new version of the NIRA Laser. I am sharing my review below.

First Impressions & Ease of Use

Out of the box, the NIRA Pro Laser felt sleek and intuitive. The power button is easy to access, and the device has multiple intensity levels so you can customize based on your comfort level or pain threshold (spoiler: it’s way more comfortable than I expected).

Does it hurt?

The NIRA Pro Laser plus does not hurt to use. I use it on highest level and I admit it gets hot but it’s a quick enough that it’s easy to tolerate. It doesn’t leave my skin red just a little flushed.

The NIRA Pro+ Laser uses non-fractional laser technology to spark your body’s natural healing process—remodeling existing collagen and stimulating the production of brand new collagen. It’s a natural way to trigger collagen.

What I appreciate most is how user-friendly it is—even on sensitive areas like the eye area or around marionette lines. The larger treatment tip makes it efficient for the full face, neck, and even the back of hands (a favorite spot of mine for targeting dark spots and signs of aging). The upgraded design of the new NIRA with its laser chips really does feel like a leap in the realm of home devices.

The Science Behind It

The NIRA Pro uses non-ablative laser technology—specifically a diode laser at a 1450 nm wavelength—which targets the outer layer of the skin to stimulate natural collagen production deep within the dermis. No peeling, no redness, and zero downtime. It’s all about skin renewal without the drama of intense in-office treatments.

According to Dr. Hadley King, a board-certified dermatologist, lasers like this can activate heat-shock proteins, which aid in skin cell regeneration. So, even though you’re not feeling “much heat,” the results happen at a cellular level. Pretty amazing.

How the NIRA Laser Actually Works

Here’s the deal: the NIRA laser helps reduce visible signs of aging in as little as 90 days by using a non-ablative, non-fractional laser. Translation? It delivers targeted heat below the surface of the skin without damaging the top layer—so it’s gentle enough for daily at-home use, but still super effective.

According to dermatologist Dr. Hadley King, the magic of NIRA lies in its three-in-one action. When the laser heats the dermis (the deeper layer of skin), it does three things:

  1. It helps shed old, damaged skin cells—hello, skin renewal.
  2. It activates heat-shock proteins, which kickstart natural collagen production.
  3. And it breaks up old, tangled collagen so your skin can rebuild stronger and smoother.

This is why NIRA’s laser technology mirrors what you’d get in a professional clinic—without the pain, needles, or downtime. In fact, with regular use, NIRA claims you can see even better results than a single in-office treatment. Now that is skincare that works smarter, not harder.

My Personal Results

Let’s talk visible results. I focused my treatments on my entire face, especially the eye area, forehead, and marionette lines. After just two weeks of consistent use, I noticed improvements in skin texture, a softening in the appearance of fine lines, and a more even skin tone overall. Some of my acne scars even looked slightly faded.

By week four, I saw significant changes. My skin looked smoother, brighter, and more plump—like I had been sleeping better and drinking green juice every day (spoiler: I hadn’t). I used it on the highest level for better results, and my skin tolerated it well, even with my tendency toward dry skin.

For an extra boost, I paired it with the optional hydrating serum (the NIRA Serum) after each session. It really helped calm the skin and lock in moisture, especially for daily use.

My hands have lots of sun damage and wrinkles due to sun damage. The skin on my hands is thin so I am expecting it to take longer to see changes on my hands but I am confident my skin will approve.

I had been using the precision laser prior to using the new Pro Laser and I can tell that the pro laser works much faster friends! This is great news.

How It Compares

I’ve tried everything from microcurrent devices, LED masks, and red light masks. While each has its benefits, the NIRA Pro Laser stands out for actually delivering similar results to professional treatments—without the hefty price tag or hassle.

Compared to other skincare devices, it hits the sweet spot between effectiveness, ease, and comfort. Plus, it works well across skin types and skin tones, making it more inclusive than some other options.

In terms of in-office treatments, it’s hard to compare. I will say that NIRA Pro Laser will save you lots of money if you use it as instructed.

Well & Good Review For Best Luxury Body Care:

From Well & Good Magazine: “Why we love it”

“The latest and most powerful device from NIRA yet, the Pro+ Laser uses the same 1450 nm non-fractional laser wavelength found in offices, but at a lower intensity that’s safe for daily at-home use. And trust us (and our very passionate testers) when we say: The technology is legit. The non-invasive laser works just below the surface of your skin to stimulate collagen production—i.e., the protein responsible for keeping skin smooth and firm—without causing irritation or downtime.

Despite being an incredibly powerful at-home device, using it is simple: Select your power level (start low if you’re new), hold the laser flush to your skin, and wait about two seconds until you feel a gentle flash of warmth and hear two beeps—that’s your cue to move to the next spot. “The instructions recommend using it on clean skin, but I’ll be honest: I’ve never once done that because I’m too lazy,” one tester admitted. “I usually use it while watching TV, over makeup, and can confirm I’ve still seen results.” She clocked just two minutes a night per treatment area, and saw gradual softening in her fine lines over time—particularly around her eyes and on her neck. “It’s totally painless, and now it’s just a part of my nightly routine.”

The Bottom Line

  • ✅ Great results after one month of use
  • ✅ Noticeable improvement in fine linesskin texture, and dark spots
  • ✅ Gentle enough for daily usage
  • ✅ Effective on small areas and larger areas with the new treatment tip
  • ✅ Actually fun to use (hello, at-home spa moment)
  • ✅ No downtime, no redness
  • ✅ Supported by clinical study and endorsed by beauty editors

At its price point, it’s not exactly an impulse buy—but considering the cost of one in-office laser treatment, this pays for itself with ongoing use.

If you’re looking to up your skin care routines and see real change in your skin from an at-home use device, I genuinely think the NIRA Pro Laser is worth it. I’ll be continuing to use mine on an ongoing basis, and yes—I may even start using it on my neck and chest next!
