What a weekend! Our annual Ladies Member Guest Golf Tournament was nothing short of fabulous! Two days of golf, glam, and good times wrapped up in a chic Vintage Palm Springs theme. From the first tee shot to the final toast at the awards luncheon. Every detail came together beautifully thanks to our planning committee, our generous sponsors. The incredible energy of all 98 players was impressive. In this post, I share the highlights from the Vintage Palm Springs Themed golf Tournament. The Golf Theme & Event Decor

This year’s theme—Vintage Palm Springs Golf—set the stage for an unforgettable experience. Think retro Hollywood glam, desert chic, and mid-century modern styling. This golf theme was so much fun! The event decor was creative and unique.

The weather took a turn for the worse on the first day of the tournament so we had a very large event tent set up for the lawn party. We tucked a few pink and white striped umbrellas under the large tent for effect. We also had several awesome sponsors and pop up sales at the golf after party.

A killer vintage trailer decked out with vintage decor set up at the end of the long tent. It helped block the wind but also served as an ideal decor piece.

Guests arrived at a golf lawn party under a grand white cabana tent, complete with cabana boys to boot. Vintage-inspired signage, palm frond centerpieces, and table decorations that looked straight out of a 1960s resort. The whole event was designed to give golfers and guests alike a taste of Palm Springs luxury.

Palm Springs Vintage Vibes: Clubhouse & Lawn Party Décor

Entry Experience

• Guests were greeted in style with a pink carpet and velvet ropes leading into the clubhouse.
• Before entering, players stopped at the cabana tent for registration, where they received their custom canvas golf bags filled with martini golf tees, lip balm, and raffle tickets.

Clubhouse Atmosphere

• To set the mood, we borrowed palm trees and faux greenery from the local school. We placed them throughout the clubhouse for a lush, tropical feel.
• Neon signs, vintage turntables, and old radios were strategically placed to enhance the mid-century vibe.
• Even the bathrooms carried the theme: pink flamingos, tropical palms, fresh flowers, and a glowing pink neon sign reading “Good Vibes Only.”
• Around the photo booth, a hand-crafted bougainvillea vine climbed across the wall and arched over a green backdrop, creating the perfect tropical photo-op.

Tablescapes

• Each table featured custom topper cloths designed by my pal Anne, layered over classic white linens.
• Settings were styled with textured vintage placemats and a monstera leaf tucked under each plate.
• The centerpieces were tall vases wrapped in cane, filled with lilies, faux orchids, and other vintage-style blooms that made the tables pop.

Lawn Party Touches- Outdoor Cabana Tent

• The outdoor space extended the Palm Springs vibe with the same lush greenery and neon glow.
• Another photo opportunity appeared in the outdoor tent with a bright blue rattan chair and bamboo grass wall.

On-Course Looks- Palm Springs Vintage

• Varsity Chic
  • Matching golf skirts/skorts and short-sleeve varsity sweaters or cardigans.
  • Think white skirts with striped trim tops (pink/green or navy/white).
  • Add saddle shoes or crisp white sneakers for retro preppy vibes.
• Lilly-Inspired Florals
  • Brightly patterned floral skorts with sleeveless polos or shift dresses.
  • Prints in hot pink, aqua, kelly green, and lemon yellow — playful but polished.
  • Pair with pearl studs and colorful visors.
• Players and Team Matches
  • Encourage foursomes to coordinate: all in floral skorts, all in varsity stripes, or one bold color scheme (like hot pink + lime). This ladies golf tournament was for two person teams.

The Golf Tournament & On-Course Contests

Over two days, players teed off in style with friendly competition and plenty of on-course games and contests, including:

• Closest to the Pin & Longest Drive – Classic tournament favorites with bragging rights on the line.
• Putting Contest – A crowd favorite thanks to our premium sponsor placement on the green.
• Scavenger Hunt on the Course – A playful way to mix strategy and fun.
• Golf Raffle Tickets & Gift Basket Giveaways – With member-curated prizes, this was a big hit that helped us raise thousands for the club.

These fun golf contests kept the energy high and made the tournament experience memorable for golfers of all skill levels.

Food, Beverages & Lawn Party Fun- On Theme

Friday night’s Palm Springs themed golf party was one for the books. Guests enjoyed heavy appetizers, signature cocktails from the no-host bar. We had interactive sponsor booths offering fun giveaways, wellness demos, and even golf swing analysis with KAMS AI Golf Rehab & Performance technology.

Saturday wrapped up with a stylish awards ceremony luncheon, where tables were decorated with vintage glam details and raffle baskets were on display for last-minute ticket sales.

Sponsor Recognition & Event Fundraising

For the first year ever, our golf tournament had sponsors—and they were a huge success. Sponsors received ads in the golf player handbook, logo placement on signage, recognition during the awards luncheon, and prime visibility at interactive lawn sponsor booths.

The sponsorship element not only elevated the event but also opened doors for golf fundraising opportunities we plan to continue in the future.

Awards Luncheon & Ceremony

The tournament closed with laughter, prizes, and heartfelt thanks at our golf awards luncheon. Winners were celebrated, sponsors were thanked. Players reflected on two days filled with sunshine, vintage vibes, golf camaraderie, and stylish fun.

Why This Ladies Golf Event Was So Special

This year brought many “firsts”—our first Palm Springs themed golf party, our first corporate sponsors, and our largest player turnout yet. It was a weekend that blended golf competition, fundraising ideas, themed event decor, and community spirit—showing once again how magical things become when amazing people come together.
