About the Brand: Golftini

Golftini began in 2005 when founder Susan Hess couldn’t find stylish women’s golf apparel she wanted to wear, so she decided to create her own. A trip to New York City’s garment district led to her first skort, which quickly caught on with friends and local golf shops. This year Golftini celebrated 20 years in business!

After taking a chance on the PGA Golf Merchandise Show, Susan landed her first major order. All of this happened while she was raising three boys—with no fashion or business background—learning as she went and trusting her instincts every step of the way.

At a time when women’s golf clothing felt outdated and uninspired, Susan saw an opportunity to do things differently. Today, Golftini is best known for its iconic women’s golf skorts, bold prints, flattering silhouettes, and modern feminine aesthetic.

Susan shared with me that she lost her mother to breast cancer when she was just 14 years old, and that experience has stayed with her ever since. From the very beginning of building Golftini, she’s looked for ways to give back, even when the brand was still growing. Q: How Has Gathering With Women Made A Difference In Your Life?

Susan Hess – “It’s created countless friendships and community that have led to bucket list trips and memories for a lifetime.”

Gathering and golfting with women has been the foundation of Golftini from the very beginning. Golf naturally brings women together — on the course, at tournaments, and through shared experiences — and those connections have shaped our brand. Listening to women, understanding their lifestyles, and hearing what makes them feel confident has allowed us to design apparel that truly supports how women play, live, and gather.

Q. What Helps You “Glow” — Personally or Professionally?

Susan Hess – ” Spending time with family and friends, working out and designing makes me glow”.

Staying connected to movement, purpose, and people is what keeps Susan glowing. Susan told me how getting outside and spending time on the golf course helps her reset. I feel the same way.

Q. What’s One Lesson Or Moment Of Growth That Has Shaped Who You Are Today?

Susan Hess – ” You can’t control everything, only how your respond”.

Susan started her business out of her home. She is one incredibly focused women on a mission. It is clear to see how important it is to trust your instincts and stay “on course”.

Q. Who or What Inspires You To Keep Going And Glowing?

Susan Hess – ” Her children continue to inspire her and her business”. Golftini is now a family business with two of her boys working with her.

Q. What’s Your Favorite Product From Your Line And Why?

Susan Hess – “The ankle pant is probably my most worn and versatile piece. I wear it golfing, in the office,traveling and out for drinks.”

I would agree that the pants are my favorite as well. They are so comfy and flattering I find myself wearing them for more than golf.
