Instructions
Prepare the Salmon
Pat the salmon dry with paper towels.
Brush with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
Make the Bourbon Glaze
In a small saucepan, combine:
Bourbon
Maple syrup
Soy sauce
Dijon mustard
Brown sugar
Lemon juice
Garlic
Worcestershire sauce
Thyme
Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
Remove from the heat and whisk in the butter.
Cook the Salmon
Grill Method
Heat the grill to medium-high.
Cook the salmon skin-side down for 5–6 minutes.
Flip carefully and brush generously with the bourbon glaze.
Cook another 3–5 minutes, brushing with additional glaze until the salmon flakes easily.
Oven Method
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Place salmon on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, brushing with glaze halfway through.
For a lightly caramelized finish, broil for 1–2 minutes.
Serve
Drizzle with extra warm bourbon glaze and garnish with parsley, green onions, and lemon wedges.
