3 Ingredients Peanut Butter Cookies

These classic peanut butter cookies are soft in the center, lightly crisp around the edges, and incredibly easy to make. With just three pantry staples, they're naturally flourless, gluten-free (if your ingredients are certified gluten-free), and ready in under 20 minutes.

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg

  2. Preheat the Oven
  3. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Mix the Dough
  6. In a medium bowl, stir together:
  7. Peanut butter
  8. Sugar
  9. Egg
  10. Mix until smooth and fully combined.
  11. Shape the Cookies
  12. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
  13. Using a fork, gently press a crisscross pattern into the top of each cookie.
  14. Bake
  15. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are just set.
  16. The cookies will still be soft when they come out of the oven.
  17. Cool
  18. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

  20. Don't overbake! The cookies continue to firm up as they cool.
  21. For the best texture, use a regular creamy peanut butter like Jif or Skippy. Natural peanut butter can work but may produce a softer, more delicate cookie.
  22. Chill the dough for 15 minutes if it feels sticky before rolling.
